Tie builds your Tie flows as copies of the abandonment flows you already run, triggered on Tie's metrics instead of your own. Each one carries profile filters that keep its emails incremental and limit overlap with the flows you already have.
This page covers which flows Tie builds, the filters each one carries, and how to set or check them in Klaviyo.
The flows Tie builds
Tie builds up to six flows, three types for shoppers you already know and the same three for new shoppers Tie identified for you.
Flow | Trigger for shoppers you know | Trigger for new shoppers | Entry frequency |
Checkout abandonment |
|
| Your default, or 3 days |
Cart abandonment |
|
| Your default, or 7 days |
Browse abandonment |
|
| Your default, or 7 days |
Each flow starts as a copy of your own flow of the same type, so it keeps your content and your wait times. Tie builds them as drafts, and nothing sends until you turn them on.
Tie Page View is not a flow trigger. Use it for ad audiences instead.
The filters on each flow
Every flow includes the filter that the person can receive email marketing. Where a filter names a Tie metric, the flow for new shoppers uses the Tie Prospect version of that metric.

How to set the filters in Klaviyo
Profile filters on a flow are checked before every email in it, so one set covers the whole flow.
Go to Flows and open the flow.
Click the trigger and open Profile filters.
For each metric filter, choose What someone has done (or not done), pick the metric, set it to zero times, and choose since starting this flow.
For each Received Email filter, set it to zero times over the window above, then filter it to the flows it should check.
Add the condition that the person can receive email marketing.
Save.
If Tie built your flows, these filters are already in place, and you can check them the same way before turning each flow on.
Why this matters
Filtering this way keeps each Tie email incremental to the flows you already run, cuts over-messaging, and protects your sender reputation over time.
